The talent outcomes delivered by Sport Executive result from extensive experience in the Sports industry, and our dedication to elite performance, through which we have developed the Athlete's Edge model. We combine Olympian experience, board experience, and corporate experience with ontological coaching and a multitude of accreditations and psychometric tools to deliver transformational talent. We leverage and share talent networks with our sister company Carruthers Executive, which delivers executive recruitment and coaching services for Corporate Clients.

Meet Our CEO
STUART CARRUTHERS
As Founder and Director of Sport Executive, Stuart draws on his extensive experience working in the sporting and corporate worlds, and on behalf of executive recruitment agencies to inform his approach to identifying top talent. Stuart is a CEAV professional coach, as well as ICF accredited, and qualified in SHL (psychometric testing platform), HOGAN (psychometric testing), and BIRKMAN (personality testing).
With a background in elite sports, Stuart was part of the Bronze Medal winning Australian hockey team at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. This experience and his continued involvement in the sporting world has been instrumental in building unique insights into the drivers of success, and the importance of teamwork.
After a career of over 20 years at Senior Executive level, and in a range of Executive Search roles, Stuart has combined this professional expertise with his experiences as an Olympic athlete to build a new business model centred around building high-performing teams.
With a Bachelor of Business and Marketing from Curtin University, and SHL Accreditation, Stuart has worked across Consumer, Retail and Sporting sectors in a range of roles. Working most recently in a recruitment capacity for prominent Executive Search brands, Stuart leveraged his experience in the business world to recruit a number of Senior Executive roles for top tier organisations.
Stuart’s experience in business has seen him working at an executive level across a range of industries and functions for major brands including Carlton and United Breweries, Coca Cola Amatil, Lion Nathan, and Westpac Banking Corporation. With many of these roles centred around Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance and Strategy, Sport Executive is uniquely positioned to recruit for roles of this nature.
Throughout his career, Stuart has developed a passion for coaching and mentoring, drawing on his experience in elite sports and his understanding of the business world. Stuart’s experience in developing talent and empowering individuals is integral to the Executive Coaching services we offer, and is one of the many reasons that businesses in the sporting industry choose Sport Executive for all their talent needs.
